Art Club @ TMS

Art education plays an important role in developing student’s creativity and critical thinking it goes beyond learning artistic techniques alone.
The Art activities at The Manglam School, engage our children in precise hand movements stimulating their hand - eye coordination, grip , strength and hand dexterity.
This fine art skill develops a child’s creativity. The skills they learn often spill over into their academic achievements making them a better creative learner.
We teach our students the art of building confidence while participating in the art work. It helps children to build self-confidence, observation for surroundings and feel an aesthetic sense for nature. Our students from Nursery to XII take pride in their art and drawing workshops. On daily basis the students learn new techniques of using their art tools like paint brushes, mixing portrait colours, clay models, using crayons and pencils for shading and free hand sketching. The purpose of this fine art classes is achieved when our children learn the basic colours of life through creativity and innovations all painted on one canvas.

 Montessori club @ TMS

The Montessori method of education is a type of educational method that involves children's natural interests & activities rather than formal teaching methods.

Montessori education is important for all children between the ages of 3 to 5 years. Its key benefits are promoting independence of thought because it develops problem solving skills, fosters curiosity & builds confidence to support individualized learning for long term benefits. It is perhaps for students of this 21st century, that leads to future success & encourages lifelong learning. The Manglam School is unique in the sense that it is only school in the area having a well-equipped Montessori lab and trained teachers. Our Montessori lab is a big boost to all the basic activity-based learning for our pre primers. students learn various activities related to visual, auditory and kinaesthetic skills that enhances the intelligence of our kids in their initial stage of schooling. Our Montessori Club teachers promote development of practical life skills, fostering social and emotional development, supporting a child's built-in sensory awareness & support system that inculcates cognitive skills in our tiny tots. The practice of gross motor skills and fine motor skills enhances the hand-eye coordination with balance and supports the overall physical abilities.

 GK AND LIFE SKILL CLUB @ TMS 

The GK and Life Skill Club at The Manglam School promotes students' Intellectual and personal growth through a variety of engaging activities. It organizes events such as quizzes, debates, poster making competitions, storytelling and self-training exercises, these activities are conducted on important days of the year adding value and relevance to the celebrations and special days of observance. Regular quiz competition enhances student’s general awareness while debates, charity camps and extempore sessions improve their communication, critical thinking and public speaking skills, storytelling and posters/ slogan writing activities spark the creativity and imagination in children, fostering confidence and expression of thoughts. Children learn moral values with training sessions that help to instil discipline, empathy and responsibility amongst students. The club effectively provides a balanced mix of knowledge of current affairs, life skills and ethics, shaping students  into well- versed individuals.

The motto of this club is to make our young learners aware of their surroundings and current affairs in world and well trained in day-to-day life skills beyond mere bookish knowledge.

Speech, they say, is the best gift from God to the human race. Being social creatures, the ability to communicate with the world is something that makes us unique amongst all other creations of God. It enables us to express our emotions and thoughts, share our ideas and develop new relationships.Manglam offers a platform to the students where they can curb their stage fright and can express themselves.

Health and Wellness Club @ TMS

The Health and Wellness Club at The Manglam School is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and holistic well-being among our students and staff. Our purpose is to foster awareness about physical fitness, mental health, nutrition and overall wellness. Through engaging activities, seminars, health talks and regular health checkup campaigns, the club encourages a balanced approach to daily healthy and hygienic living. The club organizes a variety of events such as yoga and meditation sessions, fitness challenges, mental health awareness drives, seminars by health professionals and nutrition workshops for students. We also celebrate International Yoga Day and World Mental Health Day with special resource persons. "Our initiatives aim to create a supportive environment where everyone can learn and grow towards a healthier self—physically, mentally, and emotionally."

Yoga   

It Boosts Self-Esteem and Confidence: Yoga helps to instill confidence and to bring learning to children on an experiential level. Yoga teaches them to persevere, be patient, and work towards their goals. Yoga also provides tools for practicing compassion, mindfulness, generosity, focus, strength, and flexibility and the wellbeing of the students.

Meditation

Practicing meditation helps students know how to manage stress such as exam stress, concentrate and establish clarity of the mind. It also helps cope with other pressures such as violence at home as well as helping them appreciate life in general.


ECO CLUB @ TMS                    

The Eco Club at The Manglam School is to educate and inspire students to care for the environment by encouraging ecofriendly practices, promoting awareness about environmental issues and involving them in activities that protect and conserve natural resources. The Eco Club engages students in a variety of activities throughout the session, like plantation, Earth Day activities, care for animals and birds, water conservation, avoiding use of plastic. The club organises various activities and regularly assigns projects, aiming to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment to our students. The Club encourages eco-friendly practices in our young generation. 

Best out of Waste

Manglam's know that making the best out of waste has been a part of human life since the early ages. It was the human creative mind that gave birth to this extraordinary idea of using unwanted material in a useful way. In today's world recycling has a very important place. There are a lot of things around that are labeled as a dump. But the irony is that most of the dump collected is useful for others if recycled. Teachers play a significant role in nurturing the value of environmental protection and conservation among students through creative craft activities like Best out of Waste.

Photography

Photography is an art which can be done in several ways to enhance the beauty and charm of the events. It must be accurate and perfectly done shot to capture the emotions and moments which cannot be expressed by words but can be felt by pictures and snaps, and the same is taught to the Manglam's with mirth.


SPORTS CLUB @ TMS

The sports club at The Manglam School plays a vital role in promoting physical fitness, stamina, respect for team-mates, teamwork, punctuality and discipline among students. The importance of this sports club lies in its ability to foster a healthy lifestyle, develop leadership skills, and enhance overall well-being of young individuals. The objectives of the sports club include providing opportunities for students to participate in various sports events at state as well as national level, developing their physical skills and talents, promoting sportsmanship and fair play by encouraging camaraderie. By achieving these objectives our students remain at the centre point of learning their choice of sports in the sports clubs as we help them develop essential life skills, build confidence, human values and cultivate a competitive spirit with wisdom. TMS Sports club focuses on Chess, Archery and basketball.

Chess helps with the development of problem-solving skills, planning, patience, the focus of thought and self-discipline. Chess is a competitive activity, but, good sportsmanship and fair play are taught as essential elements of the game. Chess is a one-against-one activity, however, teamwork is also an important element.

At The Mangalam school the Social Club plays a vital role in the holistic development of students. While academics are essential, education goes beyond textbooks. The Social Science club provides students with opportunities to explore interests, develop talents, and build interpersonal skills in a supportive environment. Our Social club also promotes deeper knowledge of History, Geography, political concepts and Economic ideas in informal and creative manners. We have sand models, charts and graphs to explain theories in easy hands-on experiences. Here students share ideas and experiences from our National Heroes and social reformers. It creates a sense of belonging and boost morale, helping students feel more connected to their studies.


Language Club @ TMS

The Language Club at The Manglam School is a dynamic platform aimed at enhancing students’ core language skills of  reading, writing, speaking and listening in the said genres of English, Hindi and Sanskrit.  The club celebrates the richness of these languages through a variety of engaging activities. Students develop reading and speaking skills through poems and comprehensions, newsletters, short stories and classics in all three languages, improving their vocabulary and comprehension. Writing exercises, including essays, creative stories and verses.  compositions help build clarity and creativity.
To strengthen speaking skills, the club organizes elocution, shloka recitations, debates and role plays, encouraging expressions and fluency of language. Listening activities, such as storytelling, speeches and students' language games, sharpen their attention span and understanding of spell Bee compositions. The Language Club fosters multilingual proficiency with cultural appreciation and confident communication. I.T. And Robotics Club TMS

The I.T. and Robotics clubs at TMS facilitates learning in Artificial Intelligence, critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills. The clubs expose students to modern technology, preparing them for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). By working on real-world projects, our students gain hands-on experience in coding, programming and robotics, which enhances their technical knowledge. The club also promotes teamwork, a level of high thinking for innovations and logical reasoning, encouraging our students to experiment and learn from failures. Additionally, the club helps to build confidence and leadership skills as students collaborate and present their project work on a bigger platform, making them future-ready and adaptable in a digital set-up using artificial intelligence, coding and mechanical engineering as a mode of working and creating models in our robotics lab.

A Maths Club at The Manglam School nurtures the love for mathematics beyond textbooks. It provides a platform for our students to explore mathematical concepts through fun, engaging students with hands-on activities. The club helps to develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills and creativity by offering brainstorming puzzles, quizzes, games and model-making. It encourages teamwork, peer learning, and confidence through competitions and presentations. It connects Mathematics to real-life applications, making the subject more relevant and enjoyable. The club also identifies and supports talented students for Olympiads and other competitions. The slow learners in math are encouraged for basic skills with greater care and attention.
